Congenital Structural Anomalies

The Congenital Structural Anomalies Research Area includes research on structural defects present at the time of birth, such as heart defects; craniofacial, spinal, or limb abnormalities; and neural tube defects as well as basic human development. The Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and other NIH Institutes and Centers fund research in this area.
