Paul Love Lab
Welcome to the laboratory of Dr. Paul Love, located on the main campus of the National Institutes of Health in suburban Maryland.
Research in the Section on Hematopoiesis and Lymphocyte Biology is focused on elucidating the cellular and molecular processes that regulate mammalian hematopoiesis. Within this broad context, our studies are currently focused in three main areas.
Amir H. Gandjbakhche Lab: Section on Translational Biophotonics
Bruce Tromberg Lab: Section on Biomedical Optics
Welcome to the Section on Biomedical Optics!
We develop models, methods, and devices for understanding and controlling light interactions with biological tissues. These methods are used to perform real-time quantitative measurements of clinically-relevant information, including: tissue blood flow, oxygen extraction, metabolic rate of oxygen consumption, and body/tissue composition (lean mass, hydration, and fat mass).
