Translational Research

Research Areas

The Translational Research topic includes research on the translational science spectrum, including preclinical and clinical research as defined by the National Center for Advancing Translational Sciences (NCATS).

Translation is the process of turning observations in the laboratory, clinic, and community into interventions that improve people’s health—from diagnostics and therapeutics to medical procedures and behavioral changes. Translational research helps to bring new medical treatments to people who need them.
