Collaborative Centers in Children's Environmental Health Research and Translation
NIEHS has developed and sustained a strong base of children’s environmental health (CEH) research projects for more than 20 years. The NIEHS Collaborative Centers in Children’s Environmental Health Research and Translation (CEHRT) program builds upon that foundation by establishing a national network of centers committed to translating key CEH research findings to relevant partners.
Comparative & Molecular Pathogenesis Branch
The Comparative and Molecular Pathogenesis Branch (CMPB) provides toxicologic pathology leadership and laboratory animal medicine expertise to meet the goals of the NIEHS Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) using new technologies in biomedical research. DTT is a team-based scientific organization, and its mission is to improve public health through development of data and knowledge that are translatable, predictive, and timely.
Comparative Medicine Branch
The NIEHS Comparative Medicine Branch ensures the judicious and humane use of rodents for biomedical research that benefits human and animal health. We provide a broad range of services and collaborative support for the NIEHS intramural research program and National Toxicology Program. Highly trained professionals provide laboratory animal care, veterinary medical care, animal research project support, and genetically-engineered model development and preservation.

Integrative Health Assessments Branch
The NIEHS Division of Translational Toxicology (DTT) Integrative Health Assessments Branch (IHAB) provides systematic literature review and evaluation capabilities for DTT and the National Toxicology Program (NTP). The Branch produces monographs and reports on cancer and noncancer health effects associated with exposures to environmental agents. IHAB also develops and publishes the congressionally mandated Report on Carcinogens.
